The Colorado Chamber Players opened our 31st season with “Bach and Barbie: Music of J.S. Bach and Barbara Strozzi”.

Audiences in Thornton and Denver were delighted by the unusual juxtaposition of Strozzi’s music from mid-17th century Venice (along with her contemporaries Montiverdi and Kapsberger), to sacred and secular music of J.S. Bach.

The gorgeous vocal and instrumental program will return in February 2025 in Centennial.

Featured artists are Rebecca Robinson, mezzo soprano; Peter Schimpf, theorbo; Sarah Biber, baroque cello; Paul Primus and Barbara Hamilton, baroque violins.
