A native of Paris, France, Brune Macary has been an active performer in the Boulder area for the past 9 years. Specializing in Baroque music, she is a member of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado as well as the Boulder Bach Festival. She regularly performs with the Seicento Baroque Ensemble and her recently formed baroque chamber group Cadmus. She

plays modern violin with Sphere Ensemble, and as Principal Second of the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. She maintains an active studio of violin and viola students. She also enjoys exploring improvisation with various local folk bands, and loves to write her own music and create music videos. She holds a Master of Music in violin performance from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she studied with  Stephane Tran Gnoc. She also studied music pedagogy at CU Boulder. She loves skiing, hiking and camping with her new family of 3 in Colorado.
