Colorado Chamber Players welcomes Mary Davis, 3rd Chair Violist with Colorado Symphony and Stephanie Flores, Cellist with the Cheyenne Symphony, in a wonderful sextet program with music by Johannes Brahms (G major sextet op. 36) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (g minor viola quintet K. 516).
Due to a bad case of covid, Amy Frost Baumgarten, Principal Cellist of the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra, is unable to travel to Colorado for our performances. We wish Amy a speedy recovery!
We are sad to have to postpone our performances of Ching-Chu Hu’s marvelous string sextet (Spheres of Influence). Stay tuned for a performance of the Hu sextet in the near future!
Beth Vanderborgh and Stephanie Flores will perform a world premiere of a Cello Duo written by Gwyneth Walker especially for these concerts, entitled Of Cliffs and Sacred Spaces, inspired by the Vedauwoo rock formations in Eastern Wyoming.
