Stanislas Quartet and Colorado Chamber Players

The Stanislas Quartet, based in France, will join the Colorado Chamber Players quartet for a blockbuster program to finish the 30th season. Described as “remarkable” and “breathtaking”, the Stanislas Quartet will perform Debussy’s only string quartet, composed in 1893.

Together, the two ensembles will perform two dazzling string sextets by Strauss and Dvorak.  Richard Strauss’ lush and passionate “Capriccio Sextet” was written as a prelude to his opera of the same name.  Antonin Dvorak’s A major sextet is full of energy and folk elements, including a Dumka and a Bohemian folk dance.

This concert will only be performed once in the Denver area, so don’t miss this spectacular end of the season performance!
