30 joyful years of music making has gone by in a flash. The Colorado Chamber Players began their journey as a string trio in fall of 1993, and has evolved exponentially over the years. We are thrilled to welcome back some of our favorite artists from previous seasons, including Amy Frost Baumgarten, Cello; Paul Nagem, Flute; Opus Two Duo (Violin/Piano); and Lily Primus (Harp).
The 30th Anniversary live concert schedule:
September 8-9-10, Spheres of Influence: Sextets of Ching-Chu Hu and Johannes Brahms, with a world premiere cello duo by Gwyneth Walker. Featuring Amy Frost Baumgarten, Cello.
November 8-9-10, Pizzazz: Virtuosic Baroque Music of JS Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Antoine Forqueray, and Louis-Toussaint Milandre. Featuring Sarah Biber, viola da gamba.
December 18, Holiday Violin and Harp Celebration: Christmas and Hanukkah music, featuring Paul and Lily Primus.
March 7-9-13, ¡Celebración Latina! The Opus Two Duo (Andrew Cooperstock, Piano and William Terwilliger, Violin) perform a tantalizing program of Joaquín Turina, Pablo de Sarasate, Alberto Ginastera, Gabriela Lena Frank, Manuel de Falla.
March 10: 30th Anniversary Concert and Gala, at the Opus Two Hall in Lafayette.
March 28: Baroque Music of Amsterdam, including music written for the Amsterdam Portuguese Synagogue.
April 26-28-29: Stanislas Quartet (France) will join the Colorado Chamber Players quartet in a thrilling program with string octets by Kenji Bunch and Felix Mendelssohn, and a quartet by Guy Ropartz.
Summer 2024: Music for Flute and Strings, featuring Paul Nagem, Flute.
